National TV Appearance
NOVEMBER 10, 2008 - Elaine pitched her spiritual board game to investors on CBC's Dragons' Den. She requested $60,000 for a 33% share of the business she shares with sister, Erma. The funds would be used to develop distribution and marketing for Jewels For His Crown®. Elaine's segment on Dragons' Den is available on the CBC website by clicking on Season 3 Episode 7.
Elaine began by putting the dragons through a meditation to clear the air. She is a bit annoyed that the colours of the chakra appear incorrect on the segment due to editing.

Elaine invited dragons Robert Herjavec, Arlene Dickinson and newcomer Brett Wilson to come forward and play the game.

Kevin O'Leary (left) wanted to hear the details on how he would make money from investing in Jewels For His Crown® and Robert Herjavec (right) delivered harsh criticism.
.
Elaine went home without an infusion of funds, but is pleased to have had the opportunity to meet the dragons and to expose her spiritual board game to a national market.

FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!Two Grammas and a game plan. Make that a game "board"... a spiritual game-board.
Two grandmothers invented JEWELS FOR HIS CROWN, which demonstrates positive life values to both young and old. They took their idea to the Toy Show in Toronto in January 2007.
How did they do it? Elaine & Erma claim they listened to their guardian angels when they began working on the board, over three years ago. Slowly, the board evolved into a fun way to get your dose of spirituality, starting at the square marked "birth." The object of the game is to collect 8 jewels for your crown, to become the winner.
Polished stones (aventurine, rose quartz, dalmatian stone and petrified wood) are used for the tokens to travel around the board...making this game-board very unique.
JEWELS FOR HIS CROWN was inspired by the children's hymn When He Cometh...and each set of instructions includes a copy for your singing pleasure.
Four decks of cards (ANGEL, BLOCK, CHAKRA and LIFE) provide the pearls of wisdom, and decide how many halos a player either earns or forfeits. A person soon learns to avoid BLOCK cards. Players place their earned halos over a specially designed pewter angel. Seven halos can be traded for a jewel.
The two grandmothers hope to go into production early this spring. Where will this spiritual game-board eventually take them? Heaven only knows!
